Broken Walls
Biography
Broken Walls consists of Jonathan Maracle (Mohawk from Tyendinaga, ON) lead vocalist, guitarist and Mohawk wind flute, Bill Pagaran (Tlingit from Palmer, AK) on drums and percussion and Josh Maus (Austrian/German from Eagle River, AK) on bass guitar and backup vocals. Broken Walls base many of their songs on the ancient sounds of the First Nations People of North America and often perform around their large Pow-Wow drum, singings songs of and to the Creator.
Broken Walls travels year round and has toured worldwide over the past 28 years performing in places such as Peru, Mexico, China, Hawaii, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Israel, Costa Rica, Belgium and extensively across North America.
Broken Walls has released 12 albums to date. Their latest CD, "The Call of the Drum", blends the traditional sounds of Native American music with the contemporary sounds of today. You can hear hard-driving rock, reggae, R&B, Latin and other world music infused with Pow-Wow.
