Mitra Dee
Biography
Mitra Dee is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that writes from the soul. Mitra writes about her own life experiences in hopes that her personal story of redemption and second chances will encourage those who listen. Mitra is a survivor of domestic abuse, depression, and poverty. She is also a breast cancer survivor and donates a portion of her album sales to breast cancer research. As a mother of five children, she has had many life experiences to draw from. Some of the personal topics she covers in her music and writings include death, divorce, motherhood, mental health, and spirituality.
"Music for me is an expression of who I am and where I have been. It is also a great tool for communicating ideas and thoughts to others. It is my sincere desire that my lyrics and music will touch those who listen in a personal way. We are all human and we all have struggles in life.
